MANY NATIONS AND CULTURES, ONE HEART AND LORD
We are a multi-cultural church gathered to love Jesus Christ, and care for the English speaking community of Brasilia. We come from many countries and cultures, yet find we’re not all that different. For many of us, Brasilia is a temporary home, but loving and serving people is our heart. Jesus said our hearts reveal our “treasures”. At Bridges Church we embrace five “Heart Values”:
GOD’S GLORY, LOVING WELL, AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY, TRANSFORMED LIVING, & GOD’S WORD.
Coming together from some 40 different countries is something we think is pretty special. And while we celebrate our differences, what unifies us is our desire to know Christ, and make him known. Our worship seeks to make much of God through encouraging music and relevant Bible teaching, while your kids will enjoy fun learning activities designed especially for them. Afterwards you’re invited to enjoy a coffee and friendship on the patio after church…at least when we are not in the middle of a global pandemic.
You are created for community. We all are. Reality is we need others, but many of us have left friends and family to come to Brasilia, and re-creating community isn’t always easy. The heart of Bridge’s adult small groups is to provide an opportunity for genuine community – a safe place to share life, encourage one another, pray together, and grow in faith and friendship. Centered around Christ and His Word, Bridges Life Groups provide an opportunity to know you…and be known by you.
Whether you or a loved one needs personal care, we want to help. We understand the stress that can come with living cross-culturally. Bridges pastoral staff has over 35 years of experience in pastoral care and family counseling, and is available to meet with you. If you are in need of specialized professional care, we can assist with referrals. Your confidentiality will always be respected.

Do you ever feel like God is distant? Most of us do at various points in the journey. I have found that it is not God who is distant, but rather more of my failure to see him up close. This week Brasilia has enjoyed wonderful life-sustaining rains....
I was drawn this week to a story in the Bible that has both a happy and tragic ending at the same time. Jesus comes upon a man who has been an invalid, who for 38 years has been discarded, unnoticed, and uncared for. His hope had been in the...
