MANY NATIONS AND CULTURES, ONE HEART AND ONE SAVIOUR
We are a multi-cultural church gathered to love Jesus Christ, and care for the English speaking community of Brasilia. We come from many countries and backgrounds, yet find we’re not all that different. For many of us, Brasilia is a temporary home, but loving and serving others is our heart. Jesus said our hearts will chase our “treasures”. At Bridges Church we embrace five “Heart Values” that we want to define us:
GOD’S GLORY, LOVING WELL, AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY, TRANSFORMED LIVING, GOD’S WORD.
Coming together from some 40 different countries is something we think is pretty cool.
At Bridges Church we celebrate our diversity, but what we do have in common is our desire to know Christ, and make him known.
Our worship seeks to make much of God through encouraging music and relevant Bible teaching. Your kids will enjoy fun learning activities during church, and you’re invited to enjoy a coffee and friendship on the patio after church.
You are created for community. We all are. Reality is we need others, but many of us have left friends and family to come to Brasilia, and re-creating community isn’t always easy.
The heart of Bridge’s adult small groups is to provide an opportunity for genuine community – a place where we share life, sharpen one another, pray together, grow in faith and friendship, and try to be real. Centered around Christ and His Word, we would love the chance to know you…and be known by you.
Whether you or a loved one needs personal care, we want to help. We understand the stress that can come with living cross-culturally.
Pastor Dave has 30 years of experience in pastoral care and family counseling, and is available to meet with you. If you are in need of specialized professional care, we can assist with referrals. Your confidentiality will always be respected..

Do you ever feel like God is distant? Most of us do at various points in the journey. I have found that it is not God who is distant, but rather more of my failure to see him up close. This week Brasilia has enjoyed wonderful life-sustaining rains....
I was drawn this week to a story in the Bible that has both a happy and tragic ending at the same time. Jesus comes upon a man who has been an invalid, who for 38 years has been discarded, unnoticed, and uncared for. His hope had been in the...
Bridges Family & Friends From the beginning of the church in Acts 2, the Body of Christ was meant to gather for worship and fellowship. We are created for community! During these past six months of the coronavirus pandemic, our ability to...
